Mikel Arteta has been speaking about his love for Noni Madueke’s first few months in North London, and he believes that the attacker will make Arsenal significantly better.
Upon his first game back from injury, Madueke scored his first Champions League goal, and it even proved to be the winner against Bayern Munich.
Following the Gunners’ decision to bring him to the Emirates Stadium, Madueke received a fair amount of stick from Arsenal fans, but he has quickly silenced the doubters.
Arteta has now been hailing the winger’s attitude since making the switch across London and explained why he is going to make the team ‘much better’.

Mikel Arteta thinks Noni Madueke will make Arsenal ‘much better’
Mikel Arteta claims that Noni Madueke will make Arsenal ‘much better’ given his ‘unique’ skillset as a winger.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the 23-year-old has been quickly immersing himself in the culture at Arsenal and making himself a popular figure at London Colney.
“He’s somebody who came in and straight away became immersed in the culture. He started to build very, very healthy relationships,” Arteta told Sky Sports.
How do you rate Noni Madueke’s signing out of 10?
The winger is now loved by many at Arsenal, and it’s clear to see why, given his superb personality and ability on the pitch.
Arsenal’s manager added: “Everybody started to adore him because of his personality, and then he brought something different to the front line.
“His qualities are unique, and we have to use them because he’s going to make us much better.”
Madueke’s return means Arsenal now have great attacking depth. The former Chelsea star came on to replace Bukayo Saka against Bayern, and the Gunners became arguably even more of a threat to the German champions.
Mikel Arteta must replace Leandro Trossard with Noni Madueke
Following Leandro Trossard’s injury against Bayern, it’s clear that Arteta must replace the Belgian with Madueke.
The winger would love the chance to cause havoc against his former club when the Gunners travel away to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta on Leandro Trossard’s injury
The North London club will be hopeful that Trossard’s issue is nothing serious, given how good the 30-year-old has been this season.
No Arsenal player has more goal contributions in all competitions this term than the ex-Brighton attacker, showing just how big a blow his injury is.
