Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has had his say on the Gunners’ Champions League second leg clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
The North Londoners were on cloud nine after their 5-1 hammering of Real Madrid in the quarter-final. Many people predicted an Arsenal win over PSG in the first leg, but that backfired.
Luis Enrique’s side won 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium, and they now have a big advantage heading into the game at the Parc des Princes.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer think Arsenal will lose, but Vieira disagrees.
Patrick Vieira delivers verdict on PSG vs Arsenal second leg
Patrick Vieira is one of Arsenal’s greatest-ever players.
The legendary Frenchman captained the Invincibles and knows what it takes to win the big trophies. He is the perfect mentor to the young players at Arsenal.
Vieira knows PSG very well, and he is aware of the Gunners’ strengths too.
Even though many people in the game have written Arsenal off and have given Mikel Arteta’s side no chance in the clash in Paris, Vieira has backed his old club.
The Arsenal legend has claimed that he is ‘100 per cent sure’ that the Gunners have what it takes to turn the game around and reach the final.
He said in an interview on The Telegraph: “Honestly, I strongly believe that they can come back. And I’m 100 per cent sure that the group of players and the manager know that they can come back, there’s no doubt about it.
“They will have to play the perfect game away from home. They did it before and they have a quality of players who can do it. They still have a good chance. They are still alive.”

Arsenal need to do one thing to silence PSG’s supporters
Arsenal had a lot of things planned for their first leg against PSG to create a daunting atmosphere for the visitors at the Emirates.
That worked brilliantly against Real Madrid in the previous round, but PSG completely killed it by scoring early in the game.
Arsenal should try to do exactly that in the second leg. It will not only create doubt in the fans’ minds, but PSG’s players could start to panic as well.
That could completely swing the tie in Arsenal’s favour and help Arteta’s men beat the Parisiens and reach the final of the Champions League.
