Paul Merson has predicted that Arsenal will beat Liverpool to the Premier League title this season – because of one reason.
The Gunners have been in the Premier League title picture for the past three seasons, but they are yet to get over the line under Mikel Arteta.
However, Arsenal have strengthened their ranks considerably over the summer, bringing in the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.
Paul Merson is confident that Arsenal will finally get over the line, as he tips them to get something right that they previously struggled with.

Paul Merson believes Arsenal will keep their best players fit throughout the season
Merson, writing on Sportskeeda, said he feels Arsenal are favourites to win the Premier League title as things stand.
He spoke of how they reinforced their ranks in two particular areas, whilst claiming Liverpool did not look great at the back in the Community Shield.
Merson then said “it will all come down to who can keep their best players fit throughout the season” and he feels Arsenal will get it right this time.
“If you ask me to pick the favourites to win the Premier League right now, I’d have to go with Arsenal,” wrote Merson.
“They needed a holding midfielder and a centre-forward this summer and Mikel Arteta has filled both those gaps quite well in my opinion.
“From what I saw in the Community Shield, Liverpool look a bit weak at the back.
“I believe Arsenal and Liverpool are the leading contenders and it will all come down to who can keep their best players fit throughout the season.
“Liverpool did that last time out and ended up winning the league. Arsenal need to do the same, and I have a feeling they will get it done this time.”

How Arsenal could line up against Manchester United
Arsenal have a real baptism of fire on their Premier League opener, as they travel to old rivals Manchester United.
The Gunners’ starting XI pretty much picks itself, except for one particular area that could do with being strengthened further.
David Raya is expected to start in goal, behind a back four of Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.
Arsenal fans were so impressed with Calafiori in the friendly against Athletic Bilbao that they deemed him a “unicorn”.
Likewise, Arsenal fans were blown away by the Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice pivot on the day.
The one position that could be up for grabs is the left wing, with Noni Madueke potentially up against Gabriel Martinelli.
Elsewhere, Viktor Gyokeres should lead the line, and Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka are likely to complete the starting XI.
