Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shown that he can be ruthless over the years.
The Spaniard has never been scared to make decisions, and he made another one when the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford in the Premier League.
Eberechi Eze was taken off at half-time after a really poor performance, and the Englishman can have no complaints.
Peter Crouch has now had his say on the Arsenal number 10.
Name Arsenal’s most disappointing player vs Brentford but you can’t say Eberechi Eze
Peter Crouch says Mikel Arteta does not ‘fancy’ Eberechi Eze at Arsenal
Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze in a £67.5 million deal from Crystal Palace in the summer.
That made the England international the third-most expensive signing in the Gunners’ history, behind record arrival Declan Rice and Nicolas Pepe.
Eze’s signing in the summer raised excitement levels to an all-time high, and he gave Arsenal fans one of the best moments of the season with his hat-trick against Tottenham.
However, in recent months, the Englishman has been really poor and is nowhere near the top of Mikel Arteta’s pecking order anymore.

After seeing the Arsenal manager take Eze off at half-time, Crouch claimed that Arteta doesn’t fancy him.
He said on TNT Sports: “He unfortunately just fell off the boil. He couldn’t get on the ball in the first half. It was difficult for Arsenal in general, but for him, I felt for him.
“He couldn’t get on the ball, and he doesn’t give you what Odegaard gives you – the pressing. He doesn’t affect it when he hasn’t got the ball. He was a bit of a passenger, if I’m being totally honest.
“For some reason, it feels at the moment that he doesn’t fancy him. That’s going to damage his England chances.”
Fill in the blank: If I were Mikel Arteta, I would be telling Eberechi Eze “_________” about his performance vs Brentford…
Eberechi Eze may not start for Arsenal in the Premier League again this season
Eze has found himself in a really difficult position at Arsenal.
The game against Brentford was the perfect opportunity for him to step up and stake his claim in the side, but he failed.
After being hooked at half-time, we have a feeling that Eze may not get another start in the Premier League from now until the end of the season.
Martin Odegaard will come back into the side, while Kai Havertz will likely get the nod when he returns from his injury.
However, Eze is expected to start in the FA Cup clash against Wigan Athletic on Sunday. It remains to be seen how he will fare.
