He might only be 25, but with six Premier League titles to his name, Phil Foden knows all about being a winner in the game.
Foden has been a key player in City winning out in recent years and at the same time, putting Arsenal’s own title chances to bed.
This season though, the Gunners are in pole position, sitting six points clear of City and looking primed to win a first title in over 20 years.
Predict the score of Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal and tell us who will score the first goal
Ian Wright says Arsenal will win 2-0. What do you think?
Still, there is a long way to go and from afar, some will be thinking City will once again hunt Arsenal down.
Indeed, for City star Foden, it’s very much business as usual as he commented on what he thinks about the current title picture.
Phil Foden says why the pressure is on Arsenal in the title race
Winning six titles at the age of 25 is an extraordinary feat and Foden is going to go down as one of the most successful Premier League players of all-time.
As in recent seasons, the period after January is often huge in the title race and according to Foden, there’ll be more eyes on Arsenal now.
“I feel like this is the time to start focusing on the league. This is the time where it’s mostly decided in these important games,” Foden commented on the Men In Blazers podcast.

“Obviously, I don’t focus too much on Arsenal, what they’re doing, but you do start thinking about the league and thinking every game we’re playing now could cost us the league.
“There’s that extra pressure added onto the games, I would say. So, we know now going into the next game, it’s a must-win game because we’ve had a few draws now.

Where Arsenal were at this stage the last time Man City won the title
With current champions Liverpool out of the picture at the moment, it’s worth looking back at the last time City won it back in the 23/24 season.
City accumulated 96 points that season as Arsenal came second with 91.
However, there is cause for optimism for the Gunners. At this point of that season, Arsenal were actually fourth in the table and went on to pick up another 51 Premier League points. City, meanwhile, were three ahead and added 53 to their total.
Be honest. Do Arsenal really need another defender?
If the same pans out this time around, then Arsenal will be champions.
So, with all the talk of the late City run being the thing to think about, it’s worth noting that Arsenal don’t do badly themselves.
