Eberechi Eze was Arsenal’s biggest signing of the 2025 summer transfer window.
The Gunners brought in eight new players. Some big names like Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke joined the club, but none of them raised the excitement levels as much as Eze.
Back in January 2018, when Arsenal smashed their then-transfer record to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, there was similar excitement among the supporters.
Now, the Gabon star has had his say on Eze.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang praises Arsenal star Eberechi Eze
Arsenal struck a £67.5 million deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
It looked like the Englishman was on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur, but after Kai Havertz suffered an injury, he got his dream move to the Emirates.
Eze brings a certain amount of flair to Arsenal’s side that they haven’t had for a long time.
That is why there was so much excitement when news broke that Andrea Berta was signing him, and Arsenal fans have been impressed with what they have seen so far.
Aubameyang, who has played with exciting players like Marco Reus, Ousmane Dembele, Mesut Ozil and Bukayo Saka in his career, seems to be a fan of Eze as well.
In a Q&A on The Residency app, the former Arsenal striker was asked for his opinion on the England international joining the Gunners.
He replied: “He is very good!”

Eberechi Eze has to end an unwanted streak at Arsenal
Eze has looked lively every time he has played for Arsenal this season.
The 27-year-old has already picked up two very important assists – first to Gyokeres against Nottingham Forest and then to Gabriel Martinelli against Manchester City.
Eze scored for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup at Port Vale, but he hasn’t opened his account in the Premier League just yet – despite having 17 shots.
No other player in the entire division has had as many shots at goal and failed to score.
This really is an unwanted streak for Eze, especially as he has played really well more often than not since he made his debut.
Hopefully, he ends that run with a goal against Fulham on Saturday.
