Piers Morgan is often the guy who criticises Arsenal players, but the roles were reversed this time.
The presenter has been full of praise for the Gunners recently after watching them have an incredible season and win the Premier League title.
Now, Morgan’s focus is on the World Cup, and he sat down with Simon Jordan and Sean Dyche for a conversation about England.
One of their discussions involved Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka.
🏆 Which Arsenal star will go the furthest at this summer’s World Cup?
Zubimendi and Spain? Saka and England? Saliba and France?
Piers Morgan responds after Simon Jordan’s harsh Noni Madueke comment
Arsenal signed Madueke from Chelsea in a deal worth £52 million last summer.
The Englishman had a decent debut season at the Emirates. He did not score or assist a ton of goals, but filled in for Saka when required and did a decent job.
Madueke’s performances convinced Thomas Tuchel to pick him ahead of players like Cole Palmer and Phil Foden for his England World Cup squad.
The Arsenal number 20 even started the opener against Croatia, won a penalty, and for the most part, he played really well.
Ahead of England’s second game and the rest of the tournament, Jordan adamantly claimed that Saka needs to be the one starting and made a harsh comment on Madueke.

He said on Sports Uncensored: “I’ll tell you what Madueke isn’t, he isn’t Saka. What Madueke gives is not what Saka does.
“What I like Madueke for is that he is a little bit of a speedboat without a brain, without being too harsh, although that is b—-y harsh.”
Morgan replied: “That’s incredibly harsh. Would you like to apologise for that comment, please?”
Jordan said: “They’re both Arsenal, Piers, so shut up.
“I think 75 minutes into a game, Madueke comes on, he is a problem. But Saka is such a clever player, with the numbers and the way that he sees the game, the speed of his thinking and his end product is so much more advanced.”
Answer honestly: Is Bukayo Saka really the best winger in the world right now?
Thomas Tuchel is being smart with Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke
Tuchel is an elite manager, and he knows how to manage players better than most others.
At the moment, Saka is nowhere near his peak fitness level, and that is the reason why he is not being rushed to start games.
Madueke, as a result, is starting now, and we expect that to continue until Saka is fully fit. We don’t expect him to be risked until the more important games in the knockout stages.
By then, the plan would be to have the Arsenal academy graduate ready to start and finish games, which is very smart management from Tuchel.
That being said, if Saka struggles for fitness, we believe the England boss has full faith in Madueke delivering for him.
