Arsenal’s hopes of winning the quadruple came to an end after Manchester City beat them 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final.
The Gunners have been the best team in England this season, but at Wembley on Sunday, they were nowhere near the level required to win the cup.
The focus now is on winning the treble of Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, but Piers Morgan thinks there’s another accolade up for grabs – Tottenham getting relegated.
👋 GOOD RIDDANCE or PLEASE STAY: How would you feel about Tottenham being relegated from the Premier League?
Piers Morgan says Arsenal could still win the ‘quadruple’ if Tottenham get relegated
Arsenal fans are devastated after losing the Carabao Cup final, but things could be a lot worse – just look at Tottenham.
Spurs are yet to win a Premier League game in 2026 and are currently 17th in the table, just a point above 18th-place West Ham United.
There is a very real possibility that Tottenham will get relegated this season, which would be a huge shock after their Europa League win last year.
Arsenal will not care what’s happening on the other side of North London, but Morgan sees a Tottenham relegation as a big win for the Gunners.

The presenter has now claimed that if Arsenal win the treble and Spurs go down, it should go down as a quadruple for Mikel Arteta’s side.
He said on talkSPORT: “My dream of the quintuple has sadly crumbled.
“We can now only win the quadruple – Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Spurs going down. That is still on, Arsenal fans. So let us rally together. Let us rally, go forward and win.
“Remember the words of Winston Churchill: ‘Let us go forward together. Never give in. We will prevail!'”
If Tottenham get relegated, who will Arsenal’s biggest rivals be next season?
Arsenal could have their say in Tottenham’s relegation battle
After Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 hammering of Tottenham, many believe that it will either be Spurs or West Ham United suffering relegation this season, along with Wolves and Burnley.
With just a point separating the two sides, it looks like it will go down to the wire.
Spurs will need West Ham to drop points, which makes the game between the Irons and Arsenal on the 9th of May a really exciting one.
If the Gunners manage to wrap up the Premier League title by that time, we’re sure many fans will call for Arteta to field the U19s against West Ham.
Arsenal supporters remember Tottenham losing to Manchester City when Gooners were desperate for them to get a result.
That cost Arteta the Premier League title in 2024. Now, the tables could turn, which could result in Spurs losing their top-flight status.
