EA Sports have announced their Premier League Team of the Season for the 2022/23 campaign, and only four Arsenal players have made the cut.
The Gunners have been the best team in the Premier League for large parts of this season. Yes, we are no longer on top of the table, but we’ve been there for over 95 per cent of the campaign, and almost all of our players have been magnificent.
However, EA Sports and the Premier League think only four Arsenal players are good enough to be in the Team of the Season – Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka gets snubbed in Premier League Team of the Season
An argument can be made that almost every regular starter at Arsenal deserves to be in the Team of the Season.
The ones that have got in – Ramsdale, Saliba, Odegaard and Zinchenko – have all been sensational, and they completely deserve to be on the team.
However, there are others too.
Ben White, in our opinion, has been the best right-back in the Premier League, while the same can be said about Gabriel Magalhaes, who has been immense for us all season.
Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have both had unbelievable campaigns, especially the former, who was one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal were on top of the table in the first eight months of the season.
Even Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, who have both been directly involved in over 20 goals in the Premier League this season, haven’t made the cut.

Ramsdale has been named in goal with a back four of Newcastle United’s Kieran Tripper, Manchester City’s Ruben Dias and Arsenal duo Saliba and Zinchenko.
Casemiro has got the nod over Partey in the middle of the park alongside Kevin De Bruyne and our skipper, Odegaard.
The attack features no Arsenal player – not Saka, not Martinelli.
Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Liverpool’s Mo Salah are the three forwards named in the Team of the Season.
