The list of Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 season has been announced and Arsenal may have a big advantage over their title rivals, Manchester City.

The Gunners spent most of last season on top of the Premier League table. Many felt we’d even win it at one point, but Pep Guardiola’s side proved to be too good in the end.

Arsenal will try again next season, and we may have an edge over Manchester City in games following the Champions League group stage fixtures.

Premier League fixtures: Arsenal have huge advantage over title rivals Man City

Arsenal kick off the new season at home against Nottingham Forest, while Manchester City take on Vincent Kompany’s Burnley at Turf Moor.

That’s a good way to start for Arsenal as the last time we met Forest at the Emirates we smashed five past them. However, the real advantage comes in September, October, November and December.

As we all know now, Arsenal are back in the Champions League, and the games following those group-stage fixtures are always difficult, especially if both games are away from home.

Thankfully now, every single one of our post-Champions League group stage fixtures are at the Emirates.

We face Tottenham, Manchester City, Sheffield United, Burnley, Wolves and Brighton at home following our Champions League group stage games, which is a big advantage.

City’s corresponding fixtures are difficult

Let’s be honest, if Manchester City play at their best, they’ll probably beat every team in the league. However, every little disadvantage they’re in is beneficial to us.

Following each of their Champions League group stage fixtures, City have some really difficult games.

First is Nottingham Forest at home, which they should be able to win, but that is followed by away games against Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Their Premier League fixture after their final Champions League group stage game is against Crystal Palace at home.
