Arsenal are hitting top form again after a disappointing lull that might have impacted the title race.
Now that 13 games have been played in the 2024/25 Premier League, the table is starting to take its true shape.
At present, it doesn’t make for pretty reading for Mikel Arteta as Liverpool sit nine points ahead in the top spot.
After Arsenal beat West Ham 5-2 at the London Stadium, some confidence has been restored regarding the Gunners’ title hopes, but is it already too late?

Nigel Reo Coker says Arsenal can win the Premier League
Sitting behind Arne Slot’s inspired squad by a nine-point distance is troubling, despite it still being so early into the campaign.
At present, Liverpool would have to crumble quite significantly to let things slip, not made easier by the expectation that Arsenal would have to win the majority of their games.
Still, there has to be belief and one figure who has confidence in the Gunners is Nigel Reo-Coker, who discussed the North Londoners’ win over West Ham on the Football Daily podcast.
“Does anyone else get really excited about watching Arsenal get ready for their set pieces?” Reo-Coker asked with enthusiasm.
“It’s like watching synchronised swimming. I get excited to see what they do because their set pieces are just fascinating and if you don’t like it, you don’t like football.”
The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder, who made 205 Premier League appearances, then prompted listeners to consider the importance of Arsenal’s set-piece strength with reference to the title race.
“They’re in it in every way, so remember it might be a corner of a free-kick that can be the difference in the big games coming forward.”

Reo-Coker praises Martin Odegaard
Set pieces are an integral part of Arsenal’s success under Arteta however, it’s not the manager’s only strong suit.
The Spaniard is fortunate to have a handful of world-class players at his disposal, with very few as impactful as Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal realised how important Odegaard is to them after the Norwegian missed six-weeks through injury, something that Reo-Coker noted when praising the Gunners.
“I think with Arsenal, the influence of Odegaard, if they stay fit and Odegaard stays fit, Arsenal win it.”
The ex-midfielder has high hopes for Arsenal if they can keep their skipper and star players fit, with there no sign of giving up belief in the title race.
