Paris Saint-Germain are in very advanced talks with Luis Enrique over a new contract, with the Champions League final just around the corner.

The Spanish manager is looking to win back-to-back European titles in the French capital when they face Arsenal in Budapest on May 30.

The 56-year-old has worked miracles at PSG, turning them into a winning machine, and PSG are set to reward him with a new deal.

The former Barcelona coach is now highly sought after, but ahead of the Champions League final, work is being done to secure his long-term future.

PSG are in talks with Luis Enrique over a new contract

Paris Saint-Germain are in very advanced talks with Luis Enrique over a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United attempted to land Enrique before opting to stick with Michael Carrick after learning that he was fully committed to the exciting project in Paris.

Enrique now wants to win a second consecutive Champions League title with PSG and become the first team since 2018 to do so.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “Luis Enrique is now going to negotiate a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which is already in the final stages because he’s very close to being completed.

“It’s just some small details to clarify. I think it’s going to happen after the Champions League final.

“Obviously, PSG already won the Ligue 1 title, and now it’s time to focus on the Champions League final in Budapest in a few days.

“But for sure, Luis Enrique is negotiating a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain. It’s very advanced, and so I expect Lucho to put pen to paper quite soon.”

Enrique will now go head-to-head with Mikel Arteta in just 12 days with the Champions League title on the line at the Puskas Arena.
