Adrian Clarke has praised the consistency of one player in Arsenal’s squad.
The Gunners have assembled an exceptional assortment of players in the last few years, bolstered by Andrea Berta’s spending spree over the summer.
Berta spent over £250 million on eight reinforcements, providing Mikel Arteta with an ensemble that should be capable of competing on multiple fronts.
While the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi instantly make Arsenal stronger, one of their existing squad members has been hailed as ‘excellent’ by Clarke.

Adrian Clarke says Jurrien Timber is an ‘eight out of ten’ every single week
Ben White has been suffering from an injury in recent weeks, sustained against Manchester United on the opening day of the season.
In years gone by, the Englishman’s absence would be hugely detrimental to the Gunners.
Now, however, they have the imperious Jurrien Timber performing in his position at a consistently excellent level on a weekly basis.
The Dutchman was arguably one of Arsenal’s players of the season in the 2024/25 campaign, and he’s started the new term in similar form.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, pundit Clarke waxed lyrical about Timber’s performance against Athletic Club and the right-back’s general consistency.
“Jurrien Timber, I mean, when isn’t he excellent?” Clarke exclaimed.
“I mean, he’s an eight out of 10 every single week, isn’t he? Seven of ten duels that he won [against Athletic Club], three out of five tackles. He also regained possession six times as well.”

Jurrien Timber still has one key area he can improve in
Timber almost has it all; he’s superb defending in isolated areas against quick wingers, he’s an excellent passer and he can carry the ball through the lines with ease.
However, there is still one specific area where White offers more, and this is arguably the only part of the Netherlands international’s game he needs to improve.
White is extremely effective at making well-timed overlapping runs, and generally uses the ball efficiently when he gets into these dangerous positions.
Timber, on the other hand, doesn’t venture into these areas as frequently as his counterpart, and when he does, the quality of his crosses and cut-backs isn’t as high.
If the 24-year-old can become more polished as an attacking force, he’ll instantly be elevated into the very elite bracket of full-backs in world football.
