It has been a rollercoaster ride for Arsenal fans during this summer’s transfer window.
Heading into the window, Andrea Berta had three main priorities: securing contracts of key players, signing attacking flair and selling squad players to balance the books.
It is fair to say after Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri signed new contracts at the club and Viktor Gyokeres was brought through the door that the Italian has achieved at least two out of those three aims.
Arsenal are prioritising selling players in the final few days of the window with the likes of Reiss Nelson and Jakub Kiwior edging closer to exits. Adrian Clarke has revealed that he actually lost sleep over one development in recent days.

Adrian Clarke ‘couldn’t sleep’ after Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze
Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Arseblog Arsecast’, former Gunners star Clarke revealed that he could not contain his excitement upon hearing the news that Arsenal were signing Eberechi Eze.
Ian Wright wants Eze to start against Liverpool in what would be the £68m star’s debut for the Gunners and Clarke shares the excitement surrounding the acquisition.
Clarke stated: “Absolutely buzzing. I could barely sleep that night when it was sort of, when the bomb dropped, genuinely. I was just buzzing.
“Yeah, sort of told my little kids, you know, they’re nine and seven, but they’re mad Arsenal fans and they were buzzing because everyone knows that Eze is a great player and just a lovely player to watch.
“I think he was, he’s most people’s favourite individual outside of the club that they support, just because he’s fun to watch. So yeah, that was great.”
Eberechi Eze will realise boyhood dream with Arsenal debut against Liverpool
Mikel Arteta has some decisions to make about how he sets up his attack against Liverpool in the likely absence of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Should Eze be given his Arsenal debut, he will realise a boyhood dream after supporting the club all his life and suffering heartbreak after being released from the academy aged 13.
Eze stated: “I went round all the academies in London. At Arsenal, that being my boyhood team, I feel like it was all I knew at the time and when you’re young, it’s all in your imagination.”
The 27-year-old is already seen as a hero in the eyes of Arsenal supporters after rejecting North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to join the club.
Making an impact at Anfield and securing three points would only serve to elevate his status even further and give him a dream start to life at the Emirates.
