Real Madrid icon Raul has revealed exactly how the club feel about a potential comeback against Arsenal in the Champions League.

It comes as the Gunners hold a huge advantage over their rivals heading into the second leg of their quarter-final tie.

A Declan Rice brace of free-kicks alongside a Mikel Merino strike ensured that Arsenal will take a three-goal lead over Real Madrid into the reverse fixture.

While the north London side will feel confident about making the final four of the Champions League, there will be some fear about a potential comeback.

The feeling in the Real Madrid camp is growing, and one that may strike even more fear into Arsenal.

Raul claims Real Madrid are growing in belief over Arsenal comeback

While Arsenal may be slightly concerned about the possibility of a comeback at the Bernabeu, belief is seemingly growing at Real Madrid.

Iconic striker Raul, who played well over 500 games and scored over 200 goals for Los Blancos, knows a thing or two about winning trophies at the club.

Now in charge of Real Madrid Castilla, the Spaniard revealed how the feeling around the club is gearing towards a comeback.

He told the press: “To the Madridistas, have faith. As the days go by, we see it as more feasible that it could happen.”

It shows that the feeling privately in the club is one of confidence growing and finding a way back into the tie.

It’s something Arsenal won’t want to hear heading into it, with some big moments still to come in the following 90 minutes.

How Real Madrid prepared for Arsenal clash at the Bernabeu

While Arsenal drew with Brentford over the weekend, their rivals Real Madrid walked out with a slim 1-0 win over Alaves in La Liga.

It wasn’t easy, though, as Kylian Mbappe got sent off during the clash, with the forward struggling for some form as of late.

The victory will come as something of a boost to Real Madrid, who needed a confidence booster for the clash.

They will need to find a few more ways to score goals though, with an early goal against the Gunners likely to change things in the match.
