Arsenal have scored plenty of goals over the years, with many of those being fantastic strikes and impressive pieces of individual skill.
The 2001/02 season in the Premier League brought about plenty of those moments for the Gunners, with Arsene Wenger’s side closing in on the title.
In March 2002, Arsenal seemed likely to work their way towards winning the league, travelling to Newcastle.

Dennis Bergkamp’s goal vs Newcastle in March 2002
Arsenal made the trip to St. James’ Park in March 2002, looking to land another three points to put them one step closer to the Premier League title.
Manchester United floundered unusually over the 2001/02 campaign, with Liverpool going closest to the Gunners overall.
However, Wenger’s side became inevitable over the season, not least due to the impact of Bergkamp throughout the season.
The Dutchman, often praised for his impressive ability at Arsenal, showed exactly why he was so highly-rated against Newcastle.
Just 11 minutes into the game, Bergkamp received the ball in the box, flicking it around a defender before coolly slotting it home.
It was an iconic turn that will forever be remembered as one of the best-ever goals in the club’s history in a moment they needed it most.
With Bergkamp’s goal in the bag, Sol Campbell went on to double the lead before the break as part of a huge 2-0 win.
