Riccardo Calafiori is quickly becoming a very popular figure at the Emirates Stadium.
Riccardo Calafiori joined Arsenal from Serie A outfit Bologna in the recent summer transfer window.
Arsenal fans have taken a liking to Calafiori already, and he has produced a string of notable performances for Mikel Arteta’s side.
His standout moment so far came against Manchester City, when the Italian defender netted an incredible curling strike from long range. However, the 22-year-old has also caught the eye with his committed defending, and attacking intent, as he is willing to get forward at every opportunity.
He is clearly settling well in North London, and the rest of the Arsenal players made Calafiori feel welcome, along with his fellow summer arrivals, Raheem Sterling, Neto, and Mikel Merino.
The 6-cap Italy international has now given his verdict on his new teammates.

Riccardo Calafiori has dig at Arsenal ace Jorginho
Calafiori has claimed to envy Gabriel Jesus, in one regard, admitting that he would swap hairstyles with the Brazilian striker.
However, he certainly wouldn’t be keen to model his look on Jorginho.
In a video clip shared by the official Arsenal X account, Calafiori was asked to name one teammate who he would choose to act as his personal stylist.
In response, he quipped: “For sure not Jorgi, I’m sorry.”
He then added: “It would be Martin [Odegaard], and also Ben [White].”
Positive team spirit at Arsenal
The fact that Calafiori already feels comfortable joking about teammates is a positive sign. Arteta has regularly preached the importance of unity, and of cultivating a family-like atmosphere within the club, and this is all part of that.
There is clearly a strong sense of team spirit at the Emirates Stadium, and a squad who all get on as a group. Arteta encouraged team bonding over the summer, and the positive ramifications of that will be seen on the pitch, as players will be willing to work and fight for one another.
