Rio Ferdinand on Mikel Arteta to Man Utd

Former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta would leave the north London club to join the Red Devils, if they came calling. It comes as part of discussions surrounding a potential new manager at Old Trafford.

Speaking on FIVE, Ferdinand said: “Man United say ‘right, off the top of our list is Arteta.’ Arteta is going in and saying to the [Arsenal] lads, ‘listen guys, it’s been emotional, but I’ve got to move. I’ve got to go.’”

Barcelona transfer switch

Arsenal are continuing to build for the future and with that in mind, appear to have a Barcelona starlet in their sights. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Mika Faye is the player on the Gunners’ radar heading into the summer.

The 19-year-old defender has featured for the B team at Barca, with plenty of impressive performances. The Blaugrana are claimed to be open to a sale at €18million (£15million), should an offer be made in the coming months.

Bukayo Saka secret

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has detailed how he deals with being on the receiving end of fouls on a regular basis. The winger has been fouled 49 times this Premier League season, which is the fourth-most in the division.

“I just think it’s me,” Saka told beIN SPORTS on the fouls. “When I go on the pitch, I’m there to have fun and to enjoy. I would say I learned a lot over the last few seasons, when I started to get more and more tackles and defenders have started to enjoy more and more kicking me.

“I spoke to a few defenders and now I understand it. So, for me when I see a defender trying to smash me, as long as he doesn’t get me, I’m laughing or I’m smiling because I take it as a compliment. So, we’re all just trying to do our best for the team.

“I just try and keep my temper because I know when I do I lose my head, I don’t play well. I hope I haven’t given a secret to the opposition there.”
