Arsenal returned from the international break with their second consecutive win in the Premier League, defeating Fulham 2-1.
Goals from Mikel Merino and Bukayo Saka were enough to give Mikel Arteta’s side the three points and move them to within nine points of Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League.
The win was marred by injuries to Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber, casting doubt on their participation in the upcoming Champions League quarter final tie with Real Madrid.
Former Gunners midfielder Mathieu Flamini was in attendance at the Emirates and another former French star Robert Pires has delivered a surprising verdict on Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in recent comments.

Robert Pires claims former team mate was better than Thierry Henry
Pires and Henry shared many memorable years at Arsenal together and won countless trophies for the club but also with their national team as well.
Speaking to Optus Sport, Pires was asked to play a game of ‘last man standing’ in terms of which France international player he thought was better and gave a surprising verdict when it came to Arsenal legend Henry.
Pires chose former France team mate Zinedine Zidane as his favourite player, pipping Gunners partner Henry in the process.
Pires stated: “Zinedine Zidane is the number one for me.” The former Arsenal winger went on to claim that Zidane was the best player that he ever played with.
Whilst Pires was full of admiration for Henry and obviously appreciates the player he was, there was no beating Zidane in his eyes.
Henry hailed Zidane upon his retirement
Henry also shared the same admiration for the former World Cup winner Zidane and sent a heartfelt message to the star upon his retirement in 2006.
As per Sky Sports, Henry stated: “The only thing I can say to him (Zidane) is thank-you, everyone should say thank-you as not only was he a great player, he was a great man and not only France but the rest of the world will miss him.”

The pair starred in the 1998 World Cup victory for France and then backed that up by winning the European Championship in 2000.
Pires was also part of both of those squads, which also included fellow Arsenal star Patrick Vieira in one of the greatest international sides to ever grace the game.
