Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has praised Viktor Gyokeres, believing that he will go on to score goals for Arsenal.
The striker signed from Sporting CP this summer in the hopes of adding some much-needed cutting edge to the team.
Arsenal struggled to score in some crucial clashes last season, which ultimately saw them miss out on winning the Premier League or any other trophy.
Andrea Berta’s movement in the market has signalled a shift in approach, with Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke signed to add quality options as well as depth to the side.
Then there’s Viktor Gyokeres, the striker many hope will finally score the goals at the top end that have been missing.
From his opening two games, the opinion is mixed as to how good he can be, with a disappointing debut against Manchester United followed by a brace against Leeds.
With that in mind, Roy Keane has outlined exactly what he thinks will be said about Gyokeres this season.

Roy Keane backs Viktor Gyokeres to score plenty for Arsenal this season
While opinion is still mixed on whether Gyokeres will be a success for Arsenal, there are two things to consider.
One is whether he is effective in the general play of the team, and another is whether he is scoring the goals they need.
Keane questioned whether he would be good enough at the first requirement, but backed him to score plenty with the second.
Speaking on Stick to Football, the ex-midfielder said: “He’s not silky, is he? I think he’s one of these ones where you might… We constantly talk about probably things he doesn’t do, but he’ll end up scoring you lots of goals.
“I think so. He’s that old-fashioned striker, the way he runs, he’s a bit… It’s not pretty to look at. But come the end of the season, I bet you’re going, listen, he’s got us 20 goals”
For Arsenal, at this stage, it’s all about getting the results they need, rather than looking good while they do it.
With a Premier League title in their sights, Gyokeres may well be the one to guide the team towards glory.

Viktor Gyokeres scoring concern in Premier League title hunt
There is one worry that Arsenal should have when it comes to Gyokeres so far, though.
The striker scored plenty of goals in Portugal, but typically struggled to find the back of the net against the better sides.
That led to something of a reputation on that front, with there being some concern that it could repeat with the Gunners.
It’s early days, and a goal against Liverpool could change that narrative for the striker, but he needs to be a big-game player for the big moments.
While he could end up scoring 20 goals, they will need to be ones that really matter and can win games for the side, only then will it be deemed a successful move.
