Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim faces his toughest test yet as he takes on Arsenal in the Premier League.

The Gunners seem to have found their form again. After a few really difficult results before the international break, they have won three games on the trot, scoring 13 and conceding just three.

Arsenal are in a good place now, but the game against Manchester United will be a tricky one because the new manager bounce under Amorim is working.

The Red Devils boss has now made a difficult admission about Arsenal.

What Ruben Amorim has said about Arsenal ahead of Manchester United clash

Amorim is a brilliant manager, and Arsenal saw that when they faced his Sporting CP side in Europe.

Manchester United were awful under Erik ten Hag, and they were right to show him the door. They needed to get the next appointment right, and we think Amorim has what it takes to deliver.

The Portuguese tactician has led his side to back-to-back wins, and he will be hoping to make a big statement against Arsenal on Wednesday night.

However, the Gunners will go into the game at the Emirates Stadium as the favourites, and they will back themselves to get the job done.

Speaking ahead of the game, Amorim made a claim about Arsenal that’s ‘not easy’ for a Manchester United manager to admit.

When asked if the game against Arsenal is the biggest test he has faced yet, Amorim said, as per ManUtd.com: “Yeah, it’s the best team. It’s the best team that we’ve faced, by far.

“But the test is every game. If you see the last game, yesterday, was really tough. It was a 4-0 but you see the game like I see it. Every game now is a test without so many minutes to train.

“Trying to manage the number of minutes of so many players, you cannot try to imagine one game. You have to know that some players might have to be out of the pitch in 60 minutes, 70 minutes so it’s really hard at this moment.

“Everything is a test but Arsenal are… I know it’s not easy for [a] Manchester United [head coach] to say, but they are in a different point of their team. They are in a different moment.”

Arsenal’s recent record against Manchester United is stunning

For years after moving to the Emirates, Manchester United had the upper hand over Arsenal. They’ve made us go through a few painful defeats.

However, things have completely changed in recent years – Arteta has made Arsenal the more dominant side in the rivalry between the two sides in the Premier League.

In the last 11 meetings, Arsenal have lost just twice against United. They have won seven and drawn the other two, scoring 19 goals and conceding only 11 in the process.

Arteta will want his side to continue that record, and based on recent form in the Premier League and the Champions League, it won’t be a surprise at all to see the Gunners get over the line without too much trouble.

After Wednesday night, Arsenal will face Manchester United again in the third round of the FA Cup in January.
