Myles Lewis-Skelly produced one of the most memorable moments of the 2024/25 season when he mocked Erling Haaland in a game between Arsenal and Manchester City.
The 18-year-old was not expected to play a big part last season, but he was so impressive that he nailed down the left-back spot for himself.
Lewis-Skelly barely had a bad game last season, and one of his best appearances came in the 5-1 win against Manchester City at the Emirates.
The Arsenal academy graduate scored in that game, and he then humiliated Haaland.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is absolutely fearless.
The youngster stepped into an unnatural left-back role at the age of 18 and made it look easy. He faced some of the best players in the world and wasn’t fazed at all.
Erling Haaland asked Lewis-Skelly who he was in the game at the Etihad Stadium, and the Hale End graduate did not forget that the next time they met.
Lewis-Skelly copied Haaland’s celebration after scoring for the Gunners, and that is still being talked about – it was iconic!
Now, Haaland’s teammate, Ruben Dias, has had his say on that, and he has told Lewis-Skelly and Arsenal players to do what they want because he just doesn’t care.
He said, as per RTE: “To be honest, I don’t really care about them. I just care about us.
“If other people want to play games because of rivalries, or whatever feeds them, then go ahead. Be what you want to be.
“We believe in what we do. We play games to win for ourselves, for our families, our people. That’s the way to be – and that’s how you pull off what we pulled off.
“That’s what we believe in, and nothing is bigger in our minds than knowing we have to be the best version of ourselves. It doesn’t matter who we are playing against.”
Erling Haaland will look to get his revenge
Haaland has got the better of almost every player he has come up against, but he can’t say that about Lewis-Skelly.
An 18-year-old playing in an unnatural position, scoring and mocking you in a game that you lost 5-1 must have been really humiliating for the Norwegian.
Haaland will want to get his revenge when the two sides meet on Sunday, but the Arsenal youngster may not even start in that game.
Riccardo Calafiori has been preferred at left-back recently.
However, there is a chance that Arteta could start Lewis-Skelly just to disrupt Haaland’s game and put him off.
