Samir Nasri has picked which club he prefers between Arsenal and Manchester City, with the playmaker playing for both clubs.

Nasri was signed by the Gunners by Arsene Wenger, with the former French international establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting creative and attacking talents.

Yet like most Arsenal players during this era of the Premier League, Nasri was swayed by the big lights of City, who signed the forward in 2011 as the winger went on to two league titles with the Manchester side.

And speaking on Canal+, Nasri was recently asked which side he prefers between Arsenal and City, with the now-French TV pundit saying without hesitation: “I pick Man City.”

Indeed, given how much success Nasri had at City in terms of silverware, it is no real surprise that the former Olympique Marseille playmaker chose the reigning English champions over Arsenal.

Moreover, Arsenal fans have not been kind to Nasri since his surprise departure from the Emirates Stadium in 2011, with the Frenchman also playing for fellow London rivals West Ham.

Nasri remains one of Arsenal’s great ‘what ifs’, with the playmaker leaving 12 months before Robin van Persie’s best individual season in the Premier League as well as Alex Song’s.

And had the winger stayed, there’s a real chance that the north London club could have built something quite special under Wenger just before City were ramping up their domination.

With Sir Alex Ferguson also leave Manchester United in 2013, there was every chance that Arsenal could have swept in and taken over the power vacuum left by the Red Devils, with Nasri at the helm of the drive.
