Ian Wright’s hilarious text reply after Arsenal won the Premier League

Wright has been emotional all season watching Arsenal move closer and closer towards ending their long wait for the Premier League title.

The former striker clearly enjoyed every second of the celebrations after Manchester City dropped points and officially handed the trophy to Arsenal.

Wright’s son, Shaun, revealed that he texted his old man right after City’s draw, congratulating him. He graciously thanked him for his message.

However, in the following morning, the banter began.

Speaking about the exchange, Wright-Phillips said on talkSPORT: “I texted him this morning, and I said: ‘Alright dad, can we meet next week for lunch?’

“He said: ‘I don’t know. I’ll have to find out, who knows what I’m doing next week.

“Who’s ‘dad’ anyway? I’m called ‘champ’ from now on.’”

That honestly sounds exactly like something Wright would say after Arsenal finally became champions again.
