It’s Liverpool vs Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend, and Jamie Carragher revealed his prediction while chatting to Gary Neville on Sky Sports last night.

Arsenal are currently eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. It’s all in our hands, but our run-in to the end of the season is a really difficult one.

The game against Liverpool at Anfield is perhaps our biggest test this weekend, and we have to go there and get something from the game.

Gary Neville reached a new low last week with his hatred towards Arsenal by using a Google search to make his point – he failed with that too.

The Manchester United legend has arguably been Arsenal’s biggest critic over the last two years, but it looks like he’s finally coming around to the idea of Mikel Arteta’s men winning the Premier League.

For that to happen, though, he thinks Arsenal have to beat Liverpool this weekend. Carragher thinks the Gunners have absolutely no chance.

The Liverpool legend said: “Yeah, I think Liverpool will beat Arsenal.”

Neville replied: “Next Sunday, if Arsenal win at Anfield – to me it’s an acid test – if you go and win at Anfield, I think Arsenal will definitely win the league.

“But, he (Carragher) thinks Liverpool will beat Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday, which means it will be in City’s hands if that’s the case.”

The Insider’s View:

Neville, for once, has made a decent point here.

Anfield has been a terrible place for us to visit over the years. We haven’t won there since Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski scored their first goals for the club over a decade ago.

This Arsenal side, however, is a different animal. Every player has been phenomenal this season, and if we play to our full potential, we should be able to get a win against Liverpool, who have been awful this campaign.

Arteta’s men have proven everyone wrong on numerous occasions already this season. Hopefully, we can do it again on Sunday.
