Sol Campbell has revealed that he’s been thoroughly impressed by one Arsenal player’s start to the season.
The Gunners sit pretty at the top of the Premier League table, having won five of their opening seven matches, conceding just three goals in the process.
Andrea Berta invested £250 million in Mikel Arteta’s squad over the summer, signing eight players, and this approach appears to be paying off.
Several of the new arrivals have made significant contributions already, and Campbell has chosen to highlight one he’s been particularly enthused by.

Sol Campbell praises Arsenal defender Cristhian Mosquera
Arsenal signed Cristhian Mosquera for just £13 million this summer.
The Spanish defender was acquired to provide William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes with cover and competition, and he’s certainly fulfilled this role well so far.
Standing in for Saliba at Anfield and in the first half at St. James’ Park, Mosquera has been outstanding in his limited outings.
Despite only starting two Premier League games, Campbell singled the 21-year-old out for praise when speaking to GIVEMESPORT.
“Mosquera has done really well,” the former Arsenal defender said.
“He’s come in a couple of times, and he’s played really, really advanced for his age. You know, he’s going to make slight mistakes here and there, but that’s normal.
“But he’s quick and strong, good positioning, good passer. He knows what it’s all about. He’s responsible, and it looks like he cares about the game as well.
“He wants to produce a good performance every time he goes on the pitch. He can learn a lot from Saliba and Gabriel. And that’s what you want.
“You want these young players, if someone gets injured, he comes in, and the level doesn’t drop. And it didn’t drop with him. So he’s nipping at the heels of the guys.”
Cristhian Mosquera is the best value for money signing any Premier League team made over the summer
Premier League teams spent a lot of money over the summer.
Arsenal splashed over £250 million, Liverpool broke the £400 million mark and the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United also invested heavily.
A lot of that money looks to have been poorly spent, as the likes of Florian Wirtz, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo struggle to make an impact at their respective clubs.
These signings put into perspective just how impressive Mosquera has been, for such a minimal fee.
In fact, the youngster arguably looks like the best value for money signing across the English top flight, given the impact he’s had and just how little Arsenal paid for his services.
