Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are currently on international duty with England.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are still representing Arsenal whilst in the England camp.

The pair are key players at the Emirates Stadium, and nailed on starters in Mikel Arteta’s first choice XI.

They are also well-established figures at international level, with 102 England caps between them, 42 for Saka and 60 for Rice.

Saka has been sensational for Arsenal so far this season, as he has been for the last few campaigns, and is a talismanic figure at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, Rice has taken his game to the next level since joining the Gunners for a club-record fee from West Ham United in the summer of 2023.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice take on Anthony Gordon and Angel Gomes

In footage shared to the official England Instagram page, Rice and Saka paired up to take on Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and Lille midfielder Angel Gomes in a competition.

Playing in two pairs, each team were in a race to score five goals.

The Gunners duo raced to an early lead. After one particular eye-catching Rice strike, Saka could be heard proudly exclaiming: “That’s Arsenal football club!”

However, Gomes and Gordon were able to mount a comeback and ultimately prevail in the competition, winning 5-4.

Arsenal players on international duty

Arteta will be pleased to see Saka and Rice sticking together, and proudly representing the club, whilst with their England teammates.

There are plenty of Arsenal players on international duty at this time. Mikel Merino and David Raya are away with Spain, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli are representing Brazil, whilst Riccardo Calafiori and William Saliba are on duty with Italy and France, respectively, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Thomas Partey have all remained in North London for fitness reasons, with Fabrizio Romano recently providing an injury update on the Arsenal trio.
