Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka has been outstanding this season, but there are still some who criticise him.
Saka has been consistently excellent since his breakthrough into the first team five years ago, and is now one of Arsenal’s most important players.
The England star was decisive yet again as he scored and provided two assists in Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Southampton, and he is now hitting a different level of brilliance.
The 23-year-old is already one of the best wingers in the world, and he is now establishing himself as one of the best players in the Premier League.
Saka’s start to the season has perhaps gone under the radar, but four statistics now show that he is a world-class player, despite what some pundits have recently claimed.

Bukayo Saka leads Premier League in four creative statistics
Following Arsenal’s victory over Southampton, Sky Sports highlighted that Saka now leads the Premier League in four different statistics.
Saka’s seven assists this season ranks him higher than any other player, and these have come from an expected assist (xA) value of 3.16, also the highest in the league.
He has also created 27 chances and 13 big chances, also ahead of everyone else, and his 17 chances created from open play places him second.
In the absence of Martin Odegaard, Saka has stepped up as the creative force of this Arsenal team, and both of his assists to Gabriel Martinelli showcased his true world-class quality.
Bukayo Saka is operating at a world-class level for Arsenal
Saka is often double or even triple-marked on the right wing, but he still finds space to provide the killer pass or deadly finish in the final third.
He is excelling in both dribbling and playmaking, having created seven chances and completed seven take-ons in each of his last two games.
There are hardly any right-wingers in the world who are better than Saka now, and he is thriving at the top level of the Premier League, as well as in the Champions League, with the Arsenal star scoring against Paris Saint-Germain.
Saka is now world-class, and he can cement himself as an Arsenal legend if he leads his side to a major trophy, but some still refuse to give him the credit he deserves.
