Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has just done one thing whilst on the club’s pre-season tour in the US that will amuse supporters.
Arsenal are currently on the other side of the Atlantic taking part in a pre-season tour in the USA.
The Gunners have already taken on Bournemouth and Manchester United in Los Angeles, and will bring the curtain down on their time in America with a friendly against Liverpool.
These friendly fixtures will afford Mikel Arteta’s squad an opportunity to build up the base level of fitness that they will need to get through the upcoming campaign.
On top of that, such tours give the club a chance to interact with supporters around the world. Arsenal have a global appeal and plenty of supporters based in the States. Whilst these fans may not live in North London, they are still passionate about the club.
To illustrate this point, one Arsenal fan in America was recently reduced to tears by Ben White after the right-back agreed to sign his shirt.
As part of the tour, Arsenal players will be doing plenty to reach out to fans and boost the club’s profile, though not everyone they meet along the way will be supporters of the North London outfit.

Gabriel Magalhaes puts Arsenal shirt on fan of rival club
Gabriel Magalhaes was recently called upon to take part in some media duties, and took the opportunity to play a prank on someone who is clearly not an Arsenal fan.
In footage posted to Instagram by CBS Sports Golazo, the Brazilian defender was seen laughingly urging one of CBS staff members to wear an Arsenal shirt, jeering “come on” as he did so.
Whilst the man in question was clearly reluctant to don the Gunners’ kit, he took the stunt in good humour, and Gabriel Martinelli can be seen laughing along in the background.
CBS Sports Golazo captioned the video with: “The Arsenal boys converting one fan at a time.”

Whilst there is certainly a serious side to these pre-season tours, and Arteta will demanding intensity on the training pitch, the players will also be encouraged to enjoy the experience. Certainly, the squad seems to be in good spirits at this time.
White amused Arsenal fans with a prank he pulled on Martin Odegaard as the Arsenal duo were warming up together on the pitch ahead of a friendly match.
Arteta is also ensuring that his Arsenal squad bonds whilst on this trip, and has taken measures to encourage this, such as constantly changing seating arrangements at meal times.
The hope is clearly that, by the time the new campaign kicks off, the Gunners will be fully fit, oozing confidence, and ready to fight for one another throughout the season.
