Gyokeres produced his best Arsenal performance to date and really impressed the likes of Gary Neville and Theo Walcott.
Now, after his two goals in the North London derby, Walcott has been discussing how he thinks the Swede has changed over the last few months.

Walcott thinks that Viktor Gyokeres is finally playing to his strengths at Arsenal, as he made himself a real handful for Tottenham.
The former Arsenal winger believes that Gyokeres is at his best when he finds the weaknesses of defences and puts the pressure on them.
So far, Arsenal have not been playing to Gyokeres’ strengths, but the Swede showed against Spurs that he is starting to become more confident and willing to play his own way.
“I actually felt watching him from the start of the season, he put too much pressure on himself, and he kind of went away from what he’s good at,” Walcott told Football Daily.
“If you’re going to type in Gyokeres on YouTube or wherever you want to see it, that’s exactly his game. Finding, recognising space, recognising the weakness and then putting it on them.
“Look, it’s like any player, you give them time and space, and you’re going to sit off, and they’re going to make you look not like a professional athlete. But I just think the confidence is there to feel the energy. I think that’s what was lacking.

“He was kind of making runs, and then you could see him throwing his arms up, and he kind of gave up on those runs; he gave up doing it.
“He looked fitter as well. So I think that’s a credit to him for getting up to the levels that Mikel wants him to.”
Gyokeres now has 15 goals for Arsenal and is just two away from becoming the highest scoring Arsenal player in their debut campaign since 2018.
But despite his impressive display in the North London derby, it is time for the striker to prove to Mikel Arteta he is ready to keep starting games for the Gunners.
