Theo Walcott is still backing his old club Arsenal to win the Premier League title over Manchester City.

The Gunners re-established their five-point lead at the top of the table after their convincing 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby.

Manchester City have a game in hand, which effectively means the gap is just two points. That means if Pep Guardiola’s men win every single game from now until the end of the season, they will become the champions.

Walcott, however, is convinced that it will not happen.

Theo Walcott says Arsenal will win the Premier League, not Manchester City

Theo Walcott has quietly been confident that Arsenal will win the Premier League for months now.

The Gunners have stayed at the top of the table for a long time, and they are the favourites to go all the way in the title race.

However, after recent wobbles, many people have claimed that the pressure is getting to Mikel Arteta’s side, and they could collapse.

That was one of the talking points when the North Londoners lost to Manchester United at home. Walcott said at the time: “Arsenal are in four competitions still, and I’m very, very comfortable that they will still win this league.”

Now, after the North London Derby win against Tottenham, Walcott has once again backed his old club to become Premier League champions.

When asked who will win the title, he said on Stansport: “Oh, don’t do this to me…

“Arsenal will win the league, just.”

Theo Walcott predicts Arsenal will win the Champions League too

The Premier League is the main aim for Arsenal at the moment, but they are still in all four competitions.

It would be great to win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup as well, but what would rewrite history is the Gunners winning the Champions League, which they have never done before.

Walcott, who has already predicted that Arsenal will win the Premier League, has now claimed that his old side will go all the way in Europe as well.

When asked how far Arsenal will go in the Champions League, he told Prime Video Sport: “Winners!”
