The Arsenal squad is now stacked full of talent, with the side now looking to push on and win the trophies they feel they deserve.

Mikel Arteta has had the side close to success since their rebuild, winning one FA Cup before then, but missing out ever since.

The Gunners have struggled with injuries and scoring goals in recent seasons, with Andrea Berta addressing that in the market.

Now, Arsenal are ready to mount a challenge and get themselves over the line for those important moments.

With that in mind, there is one recent addition who has already proven Theo Walcott wrong, which could help the side in their pursuit of glory.

Theo Walcott backed Eberechi Eze to join Tottenham, but is glad he signed for Arsenal

Despite a busy window already playing out, Berta went one step further to ensure that Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £67.5 million.

It marked a homecoming for the creative forward, who grew up as a fan of the club, while also being a sign of ambition from the hierarchy.

Beyond that, it also demonstrated some power over North London rivals Tottenham, who appeared close to signing Eze before Arsenal swooped in.

Theo Walcott had told Eze to avoid a move to Arsenal, seemingly backing him to join Spurs instead, but it was something he now claims he is glad that he got wrong.

Speaking on The Overlap US channel, the former Arsenal star said: “I was wrong as well. I’m so pleased and grateful he [Eze] chose Arsenal. I’m so glad I was wrong. I really am.”

It’s quite the move from Eze, one which was a bit unexpected until it happened, but it feels right after such an emotional return.

He’ll now be looking to kick on and really make his mark at Arsenal, starting with a big clash against Liverpool.

Arsenal have incredible attacking depth with Eberechi Eze’s arrival

With Eze now joining the mix, Arsenal really do have few excuses if they aren’t competing at the very top this season.

The England international is the third attacking option signed this summer, alongside Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

Joining them in an attack that includes Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and more really does underline how competitive the team is.

Even with injuries and other concerns, Arsenal should have enough in the team to be able to overcome any hurdles in scoring goals.
