Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League with a 2-1 defeat to PSG.
Mikel Arteta’s side could not be faulted for their efforts and had it not been for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s heroics, the tie may have been a different story for the Gunners.
Arsenal fans were disappointed with Martin Odegaard for his lack of decisiveness in the final but the Norwegian alongside Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka forced incredible saves from the Italian.
Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi were more clinical with their finishes and ultimately the difference between the two teams was the ability in both boxes. Thierry Henry has given his verdict on the tie.

Thierry Henry gives PSG V Arsenal verdict
Speaking on CBS Sports Golazo’s post match coverage of Arsenal’s defeat to PSG, Henry conceded that the French side deserved to reach the Champions League final.
Henry stated: “I’m a bit sad. Look, people will talk about the miss of Bukayo, people will talk about a lot of things but at the end of the day I do believe that Paris Saint Germain deserved to win over two legs.
“I have to be a good sport, they do deserve it. It does hurt as an Arsenal fan but you have to congratulate them.”
Saka had the chance to equalise on the night for his side with ten minutes still remaining but saw his effort fly over the bar when the goal was at his mercy.
Arsenal dominate PSG in match statistics
The only statistic that Arsenal did not dominate in the Parc Des Princes was the most important one – the goals scored column.
However, from the very first whistle, the Gunners were superb in executing their clean game plan and took the game to PSG on their own turf.
| PSG V Arsenal match statistics | PSG | Arsenal |
| Possession | 46% | 54% |
| Big chances created | 2 | 4 |
| Expected Goals | 1.74 | 3.14 |
| Total shots | 11 | 19 |
| Corner kicks | 2 | 6 |
| Passes | 318 | 356 |
Fine margins haVE decided this tie and Andrea Berta now has to hit the ground running in his new role this summer and bring Arteta the firepower he deserves in this side.
A Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko added to this side along with a winger of Nico Williams’s quality and Arsenal can finally take that final step towards a major trophy next season.
