Arsenal fans have responded to Gary Neville after the Sky Sports pundit stated his expectations for the north London club this season.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville today stated that he is backing Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

Of course, having come close to winning the title last season, Mikel Arteta will have been aiming to take his side one step better this time around.

The Gunners have made a strong start to their Premier League campaign. With nine matches played, they remain unbeaten and have six wins on the board, including a landmark triumph over Manchester City. Arsenal are currently level on points with the reigning Premier League champions.

However, there is still a long way to go, and given Arsenal also have Champions League football to contend with, maintaining their momentum in the title race will be no easy task.

Injuries cost the Gunners last season in the run in. It is vital that key figures such as William Saliba, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka can say fit and in form for the duration this time.

Arsenal fans react to Gary Neville’s bold call

In response to Neville’s prediction, one optimistic Arsenal fan on Twitter said, “Arsenal Football club will be 23/24 Premier League Champions in May. Signed and sealed!” Another chimed in with a slight dig at the pundit, calling out his assertion as a “Rare Gary W.”

Not all Arsenal fans are ready to get behind his title tip yet, though. One fan exclaimed, “No way Arsenal cant win the league with Arteta’s decisions unless they get a real hitman and someone who can play with Rice.”

Arsenal are likely going to need to strengthen in the upcoming January transfer window if they’re going to get their hands on the Premier League trophy. How Arteta and sporting director Edu navigate that period will have a huge impact on the club’s prospects for the second half of the season.

One other supporter who poured scorn nf the prediction said, “I think you might be wrong this year…I think we’ve already drawn a crucial 3 point game against Fulham and that game will be the difference! I hope not, but my gut tells me it will cost us massively.”

One fan was simply taken aback by pundit’s backing, saying, “This is a surprise package from Gary Neville.”

Naturally, only time will tell if Neville is on the right track with this guess, but there are certainly reasons for optimism and hope at the Emirates Stadium right now.
