Arsenal are currently on pre-season tour in the USA, and they are slowly but surely getting a full squad available.

Several key players were missing for the start of the tour following Euro 2024 and the Copa America, and this includes goalkeepers David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale.

England trio Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice, as well as Raya, are not expected to join the tour after reaching the final of Euro 2024. However, Mikel Arteta has been handed a boost as other stars have now arrived in Los Angeles.

Brazil pair Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes hardly featured at the Copa America as their side disappointed, whilst Kai Havertz received mixed reviews as Germany were eliminated by Spain in the Euro quarter-finals.

The trio have now joined the Arsenal squad, but they will be on different fitness schedules after missing the first few days of pre-season.

Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli now join Arsenal in the USA

Havertz, Gabriel and Martinelli have missed two friendlies so far, and the upcoming clash with Manchester United may come too soon for them. However, journalist Charles Watts has explained how they can still have an impact on the US tour.

“Gabriel and Martinelli and Kai Havertz have now linked up with Arsenal in USA. They arrived last night, and today will be their first day of training with the team,” Watts stated on his YouTube channel on Friday (26/07).

“They’re going to be a long way behind everyone else, obviously they haven’t done any of the warm up stuff that the rest of the squad has done, but it’s going to be great to see them involved.

“I imagine that the United game is going to come a little bit too early for them, maybe they’re in decent shape and they will be considered for twenty minutes or so off the bench in the second half, but it’s certain that we’re going to see them get some pretty significant minutes in the game against Liverpool.”

Havertz was a starter for Germany at the Euros, and after their brutal exit in their home tournament, he may need some time to get back up to speed and ensure he is well-rested.

Gabriel and Martinelli did not start a game between them at the Copa America. Martinelli appeared off the bench a few times, but Gabriel was an unused substitute.

This should mean that both players are well-rested and raring to go in pre-season. Gabriel will hope to build upon his outstanding campaign last season, whilst Martinelli will aim to build up a consistent run of fitness after a difficult year.
