Tim Sherwood has been blown away by Arsenal and their players this season.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has seen the Gunners go to the top of the Premier League table despite having a tough fixture list to start the campaign.
Sherwood even compared this Arsenal team to the Invincibles – that’s how impressed he has been with the North Londoners.
One player in particular has caught the pundit’s eye – Viktor Gyokeres.
Tim Sherwood explains why he’d hate to play against Arsenal star Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres has divided opinion in his first three months as an Arsenal player.
The Swede came in with a lot of expectation on him after he scored nearly 100 goals in two years at Sporting CP.
The striker started the campaign well, scoring three times in his first four games, but he then went on a goalless run for club and country.
That drought ended against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Gyokeres scored twice to help Arsenal win 4-0.
Now, Sherwood has delivered his verdict on the Gunners star and has even compared him to a ‘bull’.
He said on Team Talks on Premier League Productions: “Gyokeres, I’m liking him as well. I mean, he’s a physical presence up there. He’s not silky as a player, not by any means, but he occupies defenders
“I would hate to play against him. He’s a nuisance because I’m not sure at times he knows what he’s doing, that’s his biggest compliment.
“But he gets a ricochet on the wrong side of you, he’s powerful, he’s like a bull! He just pulls you around, and like I said, he occupies the defence for the number 10s who want to come in.”

Defenders hating to play against Viktor Gyokeres helps Arsenal
If defenders hate playing against you, it’s because you’re giving them a tough time. That is exactly what Gyokeres does every single game.
The centre-backs have to get close to him. If they don’t, as Mikel Arteta said earlier this season, Gyokeres will destroy you in transition.
By attracting defenders, the Swede opens up space for all the players around him, which is why we are seeing someone like Bukayo Saka in more 1v1 situations than before.
Gyokeres may not score in every game, but he will always have a positive impact on the team. That is why Arsenal are on top of the Premier League table now.
