Tony Adams is one of Arsenal’s greatest ever players.
The Englishman captained the Gunners to three league titles in three different decades and will forever remain a legend of the club.
Adams often works as a pundit these days, and he has been seen making a few controversial comments about Mikel Arteta’s side at times.
However, he also makes some great points, especially about the defence, and he has now revealed the player he wanted to see Arsenal sign in the winter window – Marc Guehi.
Which defender should Andrea Berta sign for Arsenal now after Marc Guehi joins Manchester City?
Tony Adams says he wanted Arsenal to sign Marc Guehi in January
Arsenal were linked with a move to sign Guehi early in January.
The ‘unbelievable‘ England defender had entered the final six months of his contract at Crystal Palace, and he was of interest to several top clubs.
Arsenal liked Guehi, but they only saw him as an option for the summer window on a free transfer.
Manchester City then took matters into their own hands and landed the centre-back in January, and he has already played for them.

Tony Adams has now revealed that he wanted Arsenal to sign Guehi.
When asked if his old club should sign anyone in this window, he said on talkSPORT: “I think they are alright for now.
“Central defender-wise, I liked the lad at Palace, Guehi, he’s gone to City. I liked him. I thought he would’ve been good.
“I like the Villa guy as well, Konsa. I think he’s quite strong.”

Arsenal have missed out on another defensive target after Marc Guehi
It was a shame that Arsenal missed out on Guehi.
The England star is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and even though William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes would remain ahead of him, he would’ve been a fine option to have.
Now, Arsenal are about to miss out on another defensive target – Jeremy Jacquet.
The Frenchman had been linked with several top clubs in recent months, but it looks like he is on his way to Liverpool now.
Arsenal had kept an eye on Jacquet since last summer’s transfer window, but they will now have to find someone else.
