Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah has branded Gabriel Jesus as a really cool guy and an unbelievable player.
The two strikers have been battling each other for a spot in the first-team starting XI since the start of last season. However, that doesn’t mean there’s an unhealthy rivalry between them – they’re both really fond of each other, which is excellent to hear.

Eddie Nketiah says Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is an ‘unbelievable player’
Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City last summer, and he instantly made us Premier League title contenders.
The Brazil international was never the first-choice under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, but everyone knew the quality he had. He became a fan favourite at the Emirates last season, and when he plays well, we often win the game.
Jesus’ arrival meant Eddie Nketiah remained the number two at Arsenal. He works his socks off every day to get into the side ahead of the Brazilian, but he has claimed now that he doesn’t really see a rivalry between the two.
He clearly respects Jesus and gets along with him really well.
Nketiah told BBC Sport: “We get on so well off the pitch, me and Gabi, just naturally. He’s such a cool guy and a good character around. He’s an unbelievable player as well to be fair.
“Of course, at the end of the day, I want to be playing, I believe in myself, I want to help the team and be up there. But, for me, it’s just about us both being at the best of our games. Like I said, I don’t really see it as me vs you, it’s more about us trying to do what’s best for the team.
“I just try to do that by doing the right things and taking my opportunity when it comes. If I’m playing or not playing or he’s playing, I’m always going to support him and I know he’s going to support me.”

Jesus and Nketiah can prove people wrong
There has been a lot of talk about Arsenal needing a new striker in January.
Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have come under a fair bit of criticism recently. There are people who think the two Arsenal strikers are just not good enough to lead us to the Premier League title.
Jesus has only started four games in the Premier League this season and seven overall – he still has four goals and an assist to his name. Nketiah, on the other hand, has five goals and an assist in 11 starts.
Together, both players can help Arsenal go all the way in the title race this season, and we hope they do that and silence all their doubters.
