Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, who happens to be a target for Arsenal, has been filmed telling a Gooner to change his allegiance.

The Lilywhites have had an incredible campaign in the Premier League so far. Many expected them to go down right away, but Marco Silva’s men have done a remarkable job.

Fulham are 10th in the table, just eight points behind fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur, who have played a game more. Palhinha’s performances have been one of the biggest reasons why they’re there.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

Joao Palhinha tells an Arsenal fan to support Fulham instead

Arsenal are the most popular club in London, and a number of people in the city support our club.

The fact that we’re doing incredibly well this season makes us very attractive to young fans as well, and they all want to emulate our star players.

Palhinha, who has been brilliant all season, attended The Fulham Foundation’s Lambeth Summer World Cup this week, and he met a few kids there.

The Portuguese midfielder asked one of the youngsters there: “Who do you support?”

When he revealed he was a Gooner, Palhinha said: “Arsenal? Nah, you need to start supporting Fulham.”

Arsenal want to sign him

Just about a month ago, The Sun reported that Arsenal are battling Manchester United, Chelsea and three other clubs in the race to sign Palhinha this summer.

The 27-year-old moved to Craven Cottage before the start of this season for £20 million from Sporting Lisbon (Sky Sports). He has been one of Fulham’s best players, and his performances have impressed multiple big clubs.

Arsenal will be on the market this summer for a new midfielder. The likes of Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia have all been linked with a move to the Emirates.

If we can’t get any of those three, it won’t be a surprise to see Edu make a move for Palhinha this summer.
