Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes made the headlines by copying Viktor Gyokeres’ celebration during the 5-1 win in Lisbon.

Mikel Arteta’s woes away from home in the Champions League finally came to an end on Tuesday night. Arsenal absolutely battered Sporting, a side who hadn’t lost at home in 18 months.

Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for the Gunners before Kai Havertz doubled the lead. Gabriel scored a third just before half-time to make things much better.

In the second half, Bukayo Saka scored a penalty after some early Sporting threat. Substitute Leandro Trossard added a fifth late in the game to seal a fantastic win for Arsenal.

Gabriel is one of the best players in the world in attacking set-pieces.

The Brazil international has scored some big goals for the Gunners. He found the net in back-to-back games against Tottenham and Manchester City earlier this season, and he has now added another at Sporting.

The former Lille man is always a huge threat in corners. Arsenal fans aren’t even surprised anymore when he scores because he’s so good.

However, the one thing everyone is talking about is how Gabriel mocked Gyokeres by copying his celebration after he tripled Arsenal’s lead.

After the game, Gyokeres was asked about the Arsenal defender’s antics.

He told ViaPlay, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Gabriel’s celebration? He’s welcome to steal it if he can’t create his own celebration!

“I didn’t know he did that, but it’s fun he likes my celebration.”

Another Arsenal player copied Gyokeres’ celebration

Gyokeres had a very difficult game against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

The Swede has been the most prolific striker in Europe for over a year now, and many people thought he would trouble the Gunners.

However, William Saliba and Gabriel dealt with him comfortably for large parts of the game, and the Brazilian mocking his celebration made things worse for the striker.

Gabriel, however, was not the only one.

Just when Gabriel copied Gyokeres’ celebration, Saka, who was behind him, did the same too. The Arsenal duo clearly enjoyed themselves in Lisbon.
