Arsenal are looking at a number of players this summer and the sporting director of FC Midtjylland has claimed the Gunners are in for their brightest star.

Mikel Arteta is looking for players to make an immediate impact on the first-team but he’s also keen on securing younger players for the future too.

One of those young players at Midtjylland is talented forward player, Dario Osorio.

Osorio is on the radar of a number of big European clubs after impressing over a number of seasons now.

And now, according to Midtjylland chief Kristoffer Ajer, Arsenal are wanting to sign Osorio.

Arsenal fans….you can sign Elliott Anderson but it will cost £140m, are YOU doing it or not?

The Gunners are in the market for new wide players on both sides of the pitch, with both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard potentially leaving.

Osorio can play anywhere across the front and according to Ajer, Arsenal want him.

“We know that Arsenal have been looking into Osorio, but we also know other clubs in the Premier League have done the same,” Kjaer revealed to The Standard.

““I also think it is well known that Bournemouth looked into him historically. There are other clubs in the Premier League also looking into him.

“In my opinion, he serves the Premier League very, very good because he has a hard-working mentality. His defensive transition runs are amazing, his top speed is amazing. Left-footed right winger can go to the right and to the left of his direct opponent.

“He has the full package, seen as the next Alexis Sanchez in Chile. I can see him making a difference in the Premier League.”

Arsenal fans will be drawn to the comparison with former favourite Sanchez as well.

Osorio has already made 25 appearances for Chile and while he’s only managed the three goals, he is very much among the top players in the current squad.

Sanchez, of course, was a huge success at The Emirates, netting 60 goals in just over 120 appearances before moving on to sign for Manchester United.
