West Ham United are one of a number of Premier League clubs now interested in prising Reiss Nelson away from Arsenal this summer.
Reiss Nelson may well leave Arsenal in this summer transfer window.
West Ham United are keen on signing Nelson, as are Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Brentford. However, no formal offer has so far been forthcoming from any of these clubs.
The winger is keen to have his future decided before the Gunners jet off on their pre-season tour of the USA on Sunday, though it seems somewhat unlikely that anything will be finalised before then.
There is certainly a strong argument that the 24-year-old needs to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer. Mikel Arteta only afforded Nelson one Premier League start last season, and at this stage in his career he needs to be playing regularly.
It now seems unlikely that the Hale End academy graduate will ever be given the game time he needs in North London. Whilst Arteta has praised Nelson in the past, and clearly admires his qualities as a player, he has remained reluctant to fully invest his faith in the forward.

West Ham fans react to link with Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson
Nelson has shown flashes of quality in the Premier League, but has never been given a long enough run of games to really establish himself in the division.
There are certainly some West Ham United fans who hold some reservations about the prospect of the former England under-21 international coming to the London Stadium.
One fan said: “I personally wouldn’t sign him just based on his wages. Would he be a first team player…. I doubt it. If we and he are serious offer 40k and an appearance, performance and win bonus each week”
Another stated: “Then he shouldn’t have bothered signing a new contract last year and that way he’d be free as a bird to join us. Arsenal are now completely in the driving seat and will want a silly amount for a player they hold no interest in using.”
Another added: “Idk about this. I’d like him to prove me wrong here but I don’t think it’ll work out.”
One chipped in with: “Would take him on loan but would be very doubtful if permanent.. you never know though.. would prefer Nketiah.”
