Manchester City have completed the double before Arsenal could even win one trophy this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the Carabao Cup after beating the Gunners earlier this season, and they have now won the FA Cup.
City picked up the win at Wembley thanks to a 71st-minute goal from Antoine Semenyo.
Arsenal shouldn’t really be bothered by what Manchester City do, but they did put out a social media post almost immediately after the final whistle in the final.
👀 TRUE or FALSE: Mikel Arteta will become Arsenal’s greatest ever coach if he wins the PL and UCL titles…
Arsenal’s tweet right after Manchester City won the FA Cup final
Arsenal remain the favourites to win the Premier League title, but Manchester City cannot be written off.
Phil Foden has vowed to push the Gunners to the end, and following their win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final, they will have received a huge boost ahead of their final three games.
Arsenal, however, just need to focus on themselves, and they have echoed that with a social media post right after the final at Wembley.
On X, the North Londoners’ official account posted pictures of Myles Lewis-Skelly and David Raya entering the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
The post was captioned: “Minds on our mission!”
Arsenal then posted pictures of many of their other players entering the training ground as well ahead of Monday night’s clash against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal posted this immediately after Manchester City won the FA Cup. Coincidence or mind games?
Arsenal need to use the Premier League for a confidence boost in the Champions League
Arsenal have their destiny in their own hands.
If they win their remaining games against Burnley and Crystal Palace, they will be Premier League champions – nothing Manchester City do can stop that.
If Arsenal do that, they will not just bring an end to their 22-year league drought; they will also give themselves a huge confidence boost for the Champions League final against PSG.
That could make a massive difference in Budapest.
