Bayern Munich believe that Arsenal are the best team in the world and Mikel Arteta’s side are the favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Inter Milan are the three remaining clubs in the Champions League this season with perfect records, but that will change on Wednesday.

The Bavarians and the Gunners have undoubtedly been the two best club sides in Europe this term, both topping their domestic leagues and flying in Europe.

The two European giants will now go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium; however, the Germans have some big concerns about Mikel Arteta’s team.

Bayern Munich are starting to worry about their trip to North London to face Arsenal in the Champions League for several reasons, according to Bayern Space.

Internally, many people inside the German champions are suggesting that Arteta’s team are the ‘clear favourites’ to win the Champions League this season.

Meanwhile, Bayern are concerned about the state of their squad following a busy start to the season, with players looking ‘drained’.

Vincent Kompany will also be without one of his key attackers, Luis Diaz, who will miss the trip due to suspension. The Colombian winger was shown a straight red card against PSG.

Diaz has been in excellent form since his move from Liverpool, producing 11 goals and five assists in 18 matches for his new club.

Bayern still have plenty of top players available, including Harry Kane and the in-form Michael Olise, who scored two and assisted three against Freiburg over the weekend.

Bayern stunned PSG in their last European outing; however, there is a belief at the Allianz Arena that the Champions League holders are not at their best right now.

Gary Neville backs Arsenal to soon win the Champions League

Gary Neville is confident that Arsenal’s squad is now strong enough to win the Champions League in the coming years.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said: “It’s not only a squad that should go on and win the Premier League. I’m not jumping ahead of myself here. It’s a squad that I can see winning the Champions League in the next two or three years.

“I might not be this season because sometimes when you go to win your first Premier League, you become so consumed by that and then you can sometimes get done in a European game in a midweek on a two-legged tie.

“But they’re getting to that level of performance and resilience and stability and consistency.”
