Arsenal recorded a 2-0 win over Wolves to begin their Premier League campaign, and there were some impressive performers.
Some Arsenal players still looked rusty as they started the season, with Thomas Partey and William Saliba not at their usual best in some sloppy moments.
However, excellent performances from attacking duo Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka carried Arsenal to victory, with both players assisting each other’s goals.
Havertz’s goal came in the first half as Saka fired in an outstanding cross, which the German headed into the top corner to give his side the lead after they had missed a few chances.
Captain Martin Odegaard also delivered a strong performance, and fans will love what he did immediately after the goal, as new footage has now emerged.

Martin Odegaard spoke to Mikel Arteta immediately after Kai Havertz scored vs Wolves
Arsenal have now released footage of the reactions on the touchline during key moments, and there was something really telling as Havertz nodded in.
Whilst the team and bench celebrated the goal, Odegaard went straight over to manager Mikel Arteta, and the pair were seen discussing tactics in this brief moment before Wolves kicked off again.
Odegaard has been Arsenal captain since the summer of 2022, and the midfielder has taken to his role superbly, with his leadership qualities really showing as he is the one to take the initiative and remain focused within the team.
Martin Odegaard is showing title-winning qualities at Arsenal
The Gunners fell just short of Manchester City in the title race in the last two seasons, but Arteta recently claimed that the Arsenal players now have the mentality required to win the league.
Strong leadership is a must in any top side, and Odegaard has shown this in abundance. In addition to his incredible creative qualities, he is a player who aims to get the best out of his teammates.
Although he may not be an aggressive captain like Tony Adams or Patrick Vieira, he leads the team superbly, and his reaction to the Havertz goal shows that he is willing to be one step ahead when setting the standard for his teammates, and this could be the difference in the title race.
