Arsenal Insider understands that several clubs have been holding talks with Thomas Partey over a potential move this summer.

It comes as Thomas Partey is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of his contract, which expires on July 1.

The Ghanaian international has spent five years at the Emirates Stadium, featuring 167 times for the Gunners across all competitions.

Arsenal had been engaged in talks with Thomas Partey about a possible extension to his deal, but it seems as though they have not been successful.

Now, with the 32-year-old about to be a free agent, discussions have been ongoing over his next move this summer.

Thomas Partey has held talks with several clubs ahead of Arsenal exit

With Thomas Partey preparing to leave Arsenal, discussions have been ongoing with several parties over his next move.

Arsenal Insider can reveal that Galatasaray are in the market to sign him, having already beaten Arsenal to the signing of Leroy Sane.

They aren’t the only ones in the mix as Barcelona have held talks, but are yet to make an offer, while there is interest from the Saudi Pro League and Serie A.

Partey’s former side, Atletico Madrid, did have interest in a return, but have opted to sign Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis instead.

It’s unclear exactly how many more clubs could be involved, with a decision yet to be made on the next steps for the experienced midfielder.

Thomas Partey willing to take his time with next club decision

As his deal comes to an end, Arsenal Insider understands that Thomas Partey is in no rush to make a decision on his next club.

Given his status as a free agent, the midfielder is able to handle negotiations differently in the future, without the club-to-club aspect and the fees involved.

While there are a few months of the transfer window left, there is also the advantage of the 32-year-old not having to move strictly during the market.

As a free agent, Partey can be registered after the window closes, which will be in September for most leagues around the world.

That gives him time to make a decision, sitting back and watching how the whole ordeal plays out with clubs and where he could fit.
