One Arsenal player has now been deemed to be worth more than Declan Rice and Manchester City star Rodri.

Bukayo Saka is now considered the most valuable player in the Arsenal squad.

The Hale End academy graduate is a talismanic figure at the Emirates Stadium. The 22-year-old is a key fixture in Mikel Arteta’s squad, and starts virtually every game for the north London club.

Saka has also established himself as a star on the international stage, too. The winger has 32 England caps to his name, and has netted 11 times for the Three Lions. He has already represented his country at two major international tournaments, as he went to Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Barring an injury, he is certain to make the trip to Euro 2024 this summer and play a key role in Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Saka has enjoyed a fine season so far for Arsenal. Across all competitions in the current campaign, the attacker has racked up 16 goals and 15 assists. He is the Gunners’ most prolific and potent attacking player.

There has been plenty of debate recently about whether or not Saka ought to be considered a world-class player. The numbers he is putting up certainly suggest that he deserves to be included in that most elite bracket. Iconic former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger certainly thinks Saka is “world-class.”

Is Bukayo Saka worth more than Phil Foden, Rodri, or Declan Rice?

What Saka needs now is some major silverware. He needs to show that he can fire the north London club to glory. The Gunners are currently sat at the top of the Premier League table and have just secured passage to the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in 14 years. If they go on to triumph in either competition this season, then Saka will certainly have played a huge role in that success.
