Kai Havertz was back on the scoresheet for Arsenal as they dismissed Preston North End on Wednesday evening.
Mikel Arteta brought on Kai Havertz at half-time during Arsenal’s EFL Cup triumph over Preston North End.
The German forward was able to make an impressive impact at Deepdale Stadium. The former Chelsea man rounded off the scoring as he powered home a header with 57 minutes on the clock.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form so far this season, and has now taken his goal tally to seven strikes, across all competitions.
Earlier this season, Havertz equalled a Robin van Persie record with his goalscoring form at the Emirates Stadium. He has now shown that he can make an impact on the road too, as he settled the game against Preston.

Arsenal fans mock Chelsea after Kai Havertz goal
Arteta has been able to coax far more out of Havertz in terms of consistency than the player ever produced in his time at Stamford Bridge.
He produced some magic moments for the Blues, but never shone for an extended spell like he is now for the Gunners.
Havertz has been more prolific for Arsenal than he ever was for Chelsea, and Arteta deserves huge credit for bringing the best out of him.
Many Arsenal fans on X have now highlighted this fact to Chelsea fans.
One said: “Kai Havertz has more non penalty goals than Palmer and Jackson this season.”
Another stated: “Kai Havertz is a gift that keeps gifting. Thank you Chelsea.”
Another claimed: “They think he’s the same guy who left.”
One fan added: “Kai Havertz WHAT a header. Chelsea fans come outside.”
Kai Havertz needs support from Gabriel Jesus
Whilst Havertz has been in sensational form for the Gunners, he cannot fire Arsenal to the Premier League title himself.
Arsenal need Gabriel Jesus to step up, and the fact that the Brazilian scored for the first time since January against Preston North End suggests that he could now rediscover his spark in front of goal.
It would not only be a huge boost for Arsenal if Jesus can become more prolific now, but it would ease the burden on Havertz too.
