Didi Hamann has revealed which Arsenal star he believes can become ‘one of the best’ in the world if he works on one aspect of his game.
The Gunners’ squad has never looked as good as it does now, with Mikel Arteta forging a team filled with world-class players that next season could finally win the Premier League if the right signings are made this summer.
From captain Martin Odegaard to starboy Bukayo Saka, Arsenal can make a strong claim for having as many as six world-class players, with the likes of David Raya, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus either not far off or once considered in this category.
And former Germany international Hamann thinks one more Arsenal star could reach this elusive bracket of player.

Kai Havertz tipped to become one of the world’s best if he can polish his game
Speaking to journalist Chris Wheatley, the former Liverpool star highlighted Kai Havertz as a player who has the potential to become one of the best players in the world, but only if the Arsenal star can tidy up certain areas of his game.
Hamann said: “I think Kai Havertz definitely has the potential to be one of the best players in the world if he can tidy up parts of his game. He’s capable of producing something where everybody goes, wow. That’s why you’ve got to give him a bit of leeway and peace.”

With Havertz impressing for Arsenal in 2024 and now this summer at the Euros with Germany, it’s clear that the 25-year-old attacking midfielder is making strides in hitting his world-class potential from his Bayer Leverkusen days.
Yet the question for Arsenal and Arteta this summer will be which position should Havertz take for the new campaign, with plenty of questions still surrounding the former Chelsea kan heading into pre-season.

Next season will determine if Havertz is truly world-class for Arsenal
Havertz could not have enjoyed a better first year at Arsenal had the versatile forward tried, with the 25-year-old proving his worth in a big way for the Gunners with some huge goals at important moments during the season.
Yet next year will be the campaign that determines if Havertz is truly a world-class player, with the German international’s status within the Arsenal starting XI yet to be really determined.
Indeed, Havertz has the ability to operate in as many as four positions for Arsenal next season, and what Arteta decides to do with the former Chelsea man for the first game of the new campaign will be interesting to see.
