With the New Year now just around the corner, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will surely have some exciting transfer plans for 2024.
And although they’re expected to be quiet in January, Arsenal may spend big in the summer once again.
Moreover, with that in mind, here are Arsenal Insider’s three key transfer targets in 2024.
We’ll start with a name seldom linked to the club, Benfica’s Joao Neves.

Arsenal are often linked with Douglas Luiz as their priority midfield addition, however 19-year-old Joao Neves could be a much smarter buy.
The midfield prospect already has three caps for Portugal and looks to be a player of the highest order.
Neves is already often compared to Manchester City’s Rodri, a player considered ideal for Pep Guardiola – and that should be justification enough.
Whilst Aston Villa’s Luiz is a fine player, £103m Neves is already a cut above and would be a real sign of ambition for Arsenal.
It’s time for Mikel Arteta to bring Victor Osimhen to Arsenal in 2024
As you may have guessed, Victor Osimhen is the next name on this wishlist for 2024.

It’s long been considered that Arsenal would benefit from the arrival of a striker, some even believe that it should be the case in January.
But Arsenal appear patient in their pursuit, they seem to be gearing up for a Declan Rice style mega-signing for Arteta in 2024.
And with that said, Victor Osimhen would be a player well worth the wait.
The Napoli striker could be transformative for Arsenal, and it’s not often a player looks good value at £120m.
But if the last few years have been intended as Arsenal setting their foundations, then Osimhen could be their reward.
The transfer might spell the end of Eddie Nketiah’s time at the club, Gabriel Jesus is unlikely to be heading anywhere, but Osimhen would be a clear upgrade.
Ben White needs better backup at right-back
And that brings us onto our final target, Jeremie Frimpong.

Much like Osimhen, Frimpong has been regularly linked with Arsenal recently.
So it does bode well that this ‘ideal signings’ list contains players that Mikel Arteta is actually said to be interested in.
Frimpong would add another dimension to the way in which Arsenal are able to attack from the back.
Arteta doesn’t currently have too many profiles that are able to overlap and invert at full-back, and the 23-year-old can do just that.
Thought to be available for around £35m next summer, the deal looks like a no-brainer.
Not only would this move allow Ben White to often shift centrally, it would give Arteta some exciting tactical flexibility.
Signing all three would be expensive for Arsenal in the same window, an outlay beyond £200m.
However, with plenty of Arsenal players they could move on at the club, it doesn’t seem at all impossible for Arteta in 2024.
